Gypsum joint compound

Gypsum based jointing compounds are used for filling the joints between gypsum plasterboards or gypsum fibre boards. Gypsum based jointing compounds can only be used for interior applications. Setting times vary considerably depending on the geographical region and application.

Using Tylose® MC construction grades guarantees the necessary water retention, workability, and sag resistance. To further optimise the product, Tylovis® EP 28, Tylovis® SE 7 and emulsion powders are added. The adhesion between the gypsum based jointing compound and the board can be also improved by the addition Tylovis® PVA 18 (polyvinyl alcohol).

Building materials

Tylose® is an essential component in many building materials. It is mainly responsible for water retention, consistency and adhesion. The homogeneity, stability and workability of mortars are improved by the use of Tylose®. Using Tylose® enables the manufacturing of modern and efficient construction materials, such as machine plasters and thin bed adhesives.
